Ten newly-appointed magistrates in Ogun State were on Tuesday inaugurated by the State Chief Judge, Justice Olatokunbo Olopade.
The magistrates include the daughter of prominent philanthropist, Sir Kessington Adebutu, Temitope, Adeola Daudu, Oluranti Farounbi, Olatilewa Oyefeso, Olakoleyin Oke, Ajibolu Shomorin, Oyindamola Onifade, Temitope Ayobolu, Folarin Iroko as well as Sunday Ogongo.
Speaking at the event held at the Ogun State High Court conference room in Abeokuta, the Chief Judge of Ogun State Hon. Justice O. O. Olopade disclosed that the appointment of the new magistrates became imperative because of the ever increasing workload in the magistracy.
According to her, the 10 magistrates were in addition to the already existing 22 presiding over magistrate courts in the 16 magisterial districts in the state.
